Answer: Here 'knowing' is spoken of as contemplation, yet the method of contemplation is not yet fully complete; therefore it is presently spoken of as 'knowing.' In the Chapter on the Great Vehicle of the Pañcaviṃśatisāhasrikā Prajñāpāramitā Sūtra, when clarifying the characteristics of the sixteen sublime practices, it consistently says 'knowing the inhalation and exhalation, long and short'; using this text as proof to speak of 'knowing,' it does not contravene the text or its meaning. Contemplative wisdom will be discussed below.
