問：作法懺不能滅性罪者，觀相懺亦不能滅，違無作罪障耶？答：勝能兼劣故，無生懺例可知。

Question: If repentance through ritual action cannot extinguish transgressions by nature, can repentance through contemplating signs also not extinguish the obstacle of transgressions of violating non-informing [form]? Answer: Because the superior can encompass the inferior, the case of repentance of non-arising can be understood by analogy.
