Third is the anuśaya of ignorance. A mind that is confused and does not understand is called ignorance. If with a deluded mind one conditions objects, and following whatever arises, mindfulness is lost at every moment without feeling shame or conscience, this is all delusion. Severed by seeing and cultivation, the fifteen forms of delusion under the five stages in the three realms are precisely the anuśaya of ignorance.
