少處定。《大集經》云：「若有比丘觀三世空，知一切行亦生亦滅，空處、識處亦生亦滅。作是觀已，次第觀識，我今此識亦識非識，若非識者，名寂靜我，云何求斷此識？是名得少處定。」

The attainment of the base of nothingness. The Mahāsaṃnipāta-sūtra states: "If there is a bhikṣu who contemplates the three times as empty, and knows that all conditioned factors both arise and cease, and that the base of space and the base of consciousness both arise and cease—having engaged in this contemplation, he sequentially contemplates consciousness: 'Now is this consciousness of mine also consciousness, or non-consciousness? If it is non-consciousness, it is called the quiescent self; why should I seek to sever this consciousness?' This is called obtaining the attainment of the base of nothingness."
