一、無明。過去世一切煩惱通是無明，以過去未有智慧光明故，則一切煩惱得起故，是以過去煩惱悉是無明也。

First, ignorance: all afflictions of the past time period are collectively ignorance. Because in the past there was not yet the light of wisdom, all afflictions were able to arise; therefore, past afflictions are all ignorance.
