一依法不依人、二依了義經不依不了義經、三依義不依語、四依智不依識。

First, rely on the Dharma, do not rely on the person; second, rely on sūtras of definitive meaning, do not rely on sūtras of provisional meaning; third, rely on the meaning, do not rely on the letter; fourth, rely on wisdom, do not rely on consciousness.
