二、愛語攝。菩薩若以善軟之言隨順一切根情，安慰開喻，則一切眾生之所樂聞，因是生親愛心，依附菩薩而隨受道，得住真理，故名愛語攝。

Second is embrace through kind speech. If the bodhisattva accords with the faculties and sentiments of all with gentle and wholesome words, comforting and instructing them, then all sentient beings will delight in hearing them. Because of this, they give rise to affection, rely upon the bodhisattva, follow to receive the path, and come to abide in the true principle; hence it is named embrace through kind speech.
