Ninth, the anuśaya of grasping at views (dṛṣṭiparāmarśa). In dharmas that are neither true nor supreme, mistakenly seeing nirvāṇa and generating a mind to grasp at it is called grasping at views. When practicing the Path, though one enters various gates of contemplation, if true brightness has not yet arisen and one fails to understand through ignorance, one then mistakenly calculates what one has attained to be true and supreme, and generates a mind that grasps and clings; these are all called grasping at views. Abandoned through seeing the truths, among the four categories of the three realms there are twelve graspings at views.
