Third, the samādhi without vitarka and without vicāra. If, with a mind corresponding to emptiness, signlessness, and wishlessness, one enters all attainments and contemplates dhyānas without vitarka and without vicāra, then in all attainments from the second dhyāna up to the cessation of feeling and conceptualization, contemplating the states without vitarka and without vicāra, they all become completely upright; hence it is called the samādhi without vitarka and without vicāra.
