2.86

Fourth, the superknowledge of past lives. As for cultivating the superknowledge of past lives: if, in deep dhyāna attainment, knowledge of past lives arises, one can then know one's own past life for one lifetime, two lifetimes, hundreds, thousands, and myriads of lifetimes, up to eighty thousand great eons of past lives and the deeds performed, and can also know all the past lives of sentient beings in the six destinies and the deeds performed [by them]. This is the knowledge of past lives.
