答：「據義合有，但是文略。何者？若不先了唯色唯香，如何觀外依正等邪？但為外觀攝機須故、為對內故顯不二故，故且並列。今之文意正明內觀，以十門妙理唯指心法，故諸部中皆云觀心。」

Answer: "According to principle, it ought to have it, but the text is merely abbreviated. Why? If one does not first comprehend that it is form-only and scent-only, how could one contemplate external environmental and primary rewards and so forth? It is only because external contemplation is needed to subsume certain capacities, and because it is juxtaposed with the internal to reveal nonduality, that it is temporarily listed alongside it. The intent of the present text is principally to clarify internal contemplation, because the wondrous principle of the ten gates points solely to mind-dharmas, which is why all the works speak of contemplating the mind."
