第一釋四教名，第二辨所詮，第三明四門入理，第四明判位不同，第五明權實，第六約觀心，第七通諸經論也。

First, explaining the names of the four teachings; second, discerning what they elucidate; third, clarifying the four gates of entering principle; fourth, clarifying the differences in judging spiritual stages; fifth, clarifying the expedient and ultimate; sixth, treating contemplation of the mind; seventh, harmonizing the various sūtras and treatises.
