10.22

次霔雨三昧破四禪有者，四禪如大地，具種種芽，若不得雨，芽則不生，一切善根在四禪中。若三諦雨，三智善發生也，義推可解知。

Next, the pouring-rain samādhi destroys existence in the fourth dhyāna. The fourth dhyāna is like the great earth, endowed with various sprouts; if it does not receive rain, the sprouts will not grow. All wholesome roots reside within the fourth dhyāna. If there is the rain of the three truths, the goodness of the three wisdoms will arise. The meaning can be deduced and understood.
