次明支佛者，支佛此翻緣覺，若出無佛世，觀華飛葉落，頓悟支佛，名為獨覺；生於佛世，聞說因緣，頓悟支佛，名為緣覺。並福厚根利，謂四生一百劫所修因也。

Next, explaining the pratyekabuddhas: zhifó here translates as 'conditioned enlightener' (pratyekabuddha). If they appear in an era without a buddha, contemplating blossoms flying and leaves falling, suddenly awakening as a pratyekabuddha, they are called 'solitary enlighteners'; if they are born in an era with a buddha, hearing the preaching of causes and conditions, suddenly awakening as a pratyekabuddha, they are called 'conditioned enlighteners'. Both possess abundant blessings and sharp faculties, representing the causes cultivated through four lifetimes or one hundred kalpas.
