問：何位受接？進入何位？答：受接人三根不同。若上根，三地、四地被接；中根之人，五地、六地；下根之人，七地、八地。所接之教，真似不同，若似位被接，別十迴向、圓十信位；若真位受接，別初地、圓初住。

Question: At what rank is one received, and into what rank does one advance? Answer: The persons received differ according to three faculties. In the case of superior faculties, they are received at the third or fourth ground; persons of middling faculties at the fifth or sixth ground; persons of inferior faculties at the seventh or eighth ground. As for the teachings that receive them, the genuine and the semblant differ: if received at a semblant rank, it is into the ten dedications of the distinct [teaching] or the ten faiths of the perfect [teaching]; if received at a genuine rank, it is into the first ground of the distinct [teaching] or the first abode of the perfect [teaching].
