妙覺和南。今遣內師許大梵往，稽首乞傳香火，願賜菩薩名，庶藉熏修菩提眷屬。謹和南答令名海慧菩薩。

"Prostrations to the Marvelously Awakened One. I now dispatch the palace preceptor Xu Dafan to go, bow his head, and ask to receive the transmission of incense and fire, requesting the bestowal of a bodhisattva name, hoping to rely on cultivation to become a kinsperson of bodhi. Respectfully prostrating." Zhiyi replied with a decree naming her Bodhisattva Oceanic Wisdom (Sāgaramati).
