皇帝敬問。修禪寺智顗禪師。省書具至，意孟秋餘熱道體何如，熏修禪悅有以怡慰。所須寺名額今依來請。智邃師還，指宣往意。開皇十三年七月二十三日。兼內史令蜀王臣秀宣。內史侍郎武安子臣李元慘。奉內史舍人長坦男臣鄭子良行。

The Emperor respectfully inquires of Dhyāna Master Zhiyi of Xiuchan Monastery: I have perused your letter in full. In the lingering heat of early autumn, how is your health? May your cultivation of the joy of dhyāna bring comfort and peace. The temple plaque you requested is now granted in accordance with your petition. Master Zhisui is returning and will personally convey my intentions. Kaihuang, 13th year, seventh month, twenty-third day.
