總持和南。仰承出天台，已次到　石城寺，感患未歇。菩薩示疾，在疾亦愈，但於翹誠交用悚灼。今遣毉李膺往處治，小得康損願徐進路，遲禮覲無遠。謹和南。

Zongchi pays homage. I respectfully hear that having departed from Tiantai, you have already reached Shicheng Monastery, and your illness has not yet abated. A bodhisattva manifesting illness is also healed in illness; yet in my earnest sincerity, I am alternately alarmed and distressed. I am now sending Physician Li Ying to go and treat you; once you have attained a slight recovery, I hope you will slowly proceed on your journey, looking forward to paying respect and meeting before long. Respectfully paying homage.
