天台寺故智者弟子沙門智越一眾啟。伏惟殿下睿德自天，恭膺儲副，生民慶賴萬國歡寧，凡在道俗莫不舞抃。況復越等早蒙覆護，曲奉慈惠，不任悅豫之誠。謹遣僧使灌頂、智璪等奉啟以聞。謹啟。

Memorial from the disciple of the late Zhizhe of Tiantai Monastery, the Śramaṇa Zhiyue, and the entire community: We humbly reflect that Your Highness's sagacious virtue originates from Heaven; you have reverently received the position of Heir Apparent. The common people rely upon you with celebration, the myriad states are joyful and tranquil, and everyone among the clergy and laity dances with delight. Furthermore, Zhiyue and the others received your shielding protection from an early time and have especially been granted your compassionate beneficence, and we cannot contain the sincerity of our rejoicing. We reverently dispatch the monastic envoys Guanding, Zhizao, and others to present this memorial to be heard. Reverently submitted.
