天台寺故智者弟子沙門智越一眾啟。慈澤隆重喜捨頻煩，僧使後還復垂恩賚，雜彩勝幡莊嚴殿宇，綾羅法服光洽眾僧，猫酥五瓶充身去患，光明一斛藥食兼濃。越等山野糞掃分衛，今則被服溫華、食味珍甘，不自度量，彌增戰懼，不任敬悚。謹啟謝聞。謹啟。仁壽二年四月十五日。

Submitted by the assembly of the monk Zhiyue, disciple of the late Zhizhe of Tiantai Monastery. Your compassionate favor is profound and heavy, and your joyous giving is frequent; after the monk envoys returned, you again bestowed your gracious gifts: multicolored excellent banners adorn the halls and buildings, damask and silk Dharma robes shed luster on the assembly of monks, five jars of cat-brand ghee replenish the body and remove ailments, and a bushel of luminous salt enriches both medicine and food. We, Yue and the others, are rustic dwellers of the wilderness relying on rag-robes and alms-begging; now wearing warm and splendid clothes and eating precious and sweet delicacies, without measuring our own capacity, our trepidation increases all the more, and we cannot bear our reverent awe.
