天台寺沙門智越一眾啟。竊聞金輪紺寶奕世相傳，重離少陽時垂御辨。伏惟皇帝菩薩聖業平成纂臨洪祚，四海萬邦道俗稱幸。越等不任喜踊之至，謹遣僧使智璪奉啟以聞。謹啟。仁壽四年十一年三日。括州臨海縣天台寺僧智越等啟。

The monk Zhiyue of Tiantai Monastery and the whole assembly report: We humbly hear that the golden wheel and dark blue gem are transmitted from generation to generation, and doubled brightness and the Lesser Yang seasonably display their royal discernment. We prostrate ourselves before the Emperor Bodhisattva, whose sagely enterprise has attained peace and who succeeds to the vast imperial destiny; the monastics and laity across the four seas and ten thousand states rejoice in their fortune. Zhiyue and the others cannot contain our utmost joy and leaping, and respectfully send the monastic envoy Zhizao to present this letter to inform [Your Majesty]. Respectfully submitted. The third day of the eleventh month of the fourth year of Renshou. Submitted by the monk Zhiyue and others of Tiantai Monastery in Linhai County, Kuozhou.
