With single-mindedness, I reverently bow to the ever-abiding Three Jewels, solemnly holding incense and flowers to make offerings according to the Dharma. May this cloud of incense and flowers fill the realms of the ten directions; in every single Buddha-land, adorned with immeasurable fragrance, may it fulfill the bodhisattva path and accomplish the fragrance of the Tathāgata. Having made offerings, circumambulate according to the Dharma. Having finished circumambulating, reverently bow to the ever-abiding Three Jewels, praise the Buddha, and make aspirations. The aspiration says: “Your complexion is like Jāmbūnada gold, your face surpasses the pure full moon. Your bodily light and radiant wisdom illuminate without boundary. You destroy the hordes of Māra’s adversaries and skillfully transform gods and humans. Boarding the boat of the Eightfold Noble Path, you are able to cross over those difficult to cross. Hearing your name, one attains non-retrogression; therefore, I bow my head in reverent homage.” In praising the Buddha’s merit: may the devas and dragons of the three realms, the imperial court and the seven ancestral temples, masters, monks, and parents, monastery founders and donors, all adversaries and kin, assemble in Suchness and together accomplish the fruit of buddhahood. The sthavira should explain this with ease according to the power of his wisdom.
