問：予據《止觀》念處懺儀立陰，識妄心一念無明為境，此諸教文既單就妄立，未云即真，豈是外道說耶？

Question: Relying on the Zhiguan, the smṛtyupasthānas, and the repentance rituals, I establish the skandha-consciousness, the deluded mind, the single thought-moment of fundamental ignorance as the object; since these various scriptural passages establish it purely in terms of delusion without yet saying it is identical to the real, could they be non-Buddhist teachings?
