問：能造之心既由全理而起故能具三千，色是全理之心而起，那不具三千？能生樹根既具四微所生枝條，豈不具四微耶？

Question: Since the mind that can create arises from the entirety of principle and therefore can possess the three thousand, and form arises from the mind that is the entirety of principle, why would it not possess the three thousand? Since the tree root that can produce possesses the four subtle atoms, could the branches and twigs it produces not possess the four subtle atoms?
