又觀法任運相應，須從初品已上方有此德。故《止觀》明初品云：不加功力，任運分明等。應知此位既於一法三諦任運分明，於餘法豈不分明耶？此位既爾，後位例然，但分觀行、真、似三等任運也。

Moreover, the spontaneous resonance of the contemplation method can only possess this virtue from the initial grade and above. Thus, the Zhiguan, explaining the initial grade, says: 'Without exerting effort, it is spontaneously clear and distinct,' and so forth. One should know: since in this stage one is spontaneously clear and distinct regarding the three truths in a single phenomenon, how could one not be clear and distinct regarding the remaining phenomena? Since this stage is like this, the subsequent stages are also by extension like this, differing only in the three grades of spontaneity: contemplation-practice, semblance, and true [realisation].
