Why is this? The Fuxing instructs one to only contemplate inherent possession in principle as all empty, provisional, and middle, yet you yourself contemplate phenomenal making. The Dayi instructs one to contemplate inherent realms and thusness in the making mind, yet you directly take that which is made to be the three thousand. The Zhiguan instructs one to only contemplate the conscious mind, yet you yourself universally contemplate external objects. Furthermore, taking that which is made to be the three thousand means that they exist only after transformative production and are not naturally inherent; moreover, they would have to be produced from the mind, so how could they be neither before nor after a single thought-moment? The analogy of the eight marks of a conditioned thing would then be in vain.
