豈非此時因難醒悟，遂欲攀附正義，轉其事造擬為理具，故云所具三千名造，實非事造外境等。

Was this not an awakening brought about at that time by my objection, so that you wished to latch onto the correct doctrine, altering your 'phenomenal making' to mean 'inherent possession in principle', and thus saying that the three thousand that are inherently possessed are called 'making', and are truly not the phenomenal making of external objects?
