《妙玄》并《釋籤》判云：佛法太高、眾生法太廣，初心為難。然心佛及眾生，是三無差別，觀心則易。又云：佛法定在果，眾生法一往通因果、二往局在因，心法定在因。又云：若以佛法觀之，似如不逮；若以心性觀之，似如可見。

The *Miaoxuan* and the *Shiqian* determine: 'The Buddha-dharmas are too lofty, and the dharmas of sentient beings are too broad; for a beginner, they are difficult. However, the mind, buddhas, and sentient beings—these three are without distinction; contemplating the mind is easy.' They also state: 'The Buddha-dharmas are definitely situated in the fruit; the dharmas of sentient beings generally cover cause and fruit, but strictly are confined to the cause; the mind-dharmas are definitely situated in the cause.' They also state: 'If one contemplates by means of the Buddha-dharmas, it seems beyond reach; if one contemplates by means of the mind-nature, it seems visible.'
