既被覆問書舉其正釋陰境諸文覆難，其義既墮，已當不善消文錯下文句。乃於十六箇月日百計思量，但望略有轉身得處巧作抵拒。故今來義狀轉計，作不待揀示識心消文。

Having been interrogated and refuted in my reply letter through quotations of various passages [from the text] directly explaining the object of the aggregates, and your position having already collapsed, you should have admitted that you are unskilled at interpreting texts and have misconstrued textual passages. Yet over the course of sixteen months and through hundreds of schemes and deliberations, simply hoping for some slight room to maneuver to make a clever defense, in your recent statement of positions you have shifted your reckoning, interpreting the text as meaning 'not depending on singling out and indicating the mind of consciousness.'
