又六章皆判屬解，就大分說耳。若細論之，不無其行。是知今文觀心不可輒廢，以初心者或得宗匠決通，不假尋討《止觀》即可依之修入故。或有根性不須廣聞即能修入故，何得云事法觀心但是指示初心令於止觀修行耶？

Furthermore, that all six chapters are judged as belonging to understanding is merely spoken in general terms. If discussed in detail, practice is not absent. Hence we know that the contemplation of the mind in the present text must not be casually abolished, because beginners who obtain resolution and clarity from a lineage master can rely on it to cultivate and enter without needing to search through the Zhiguan; or because there are faculties that can cultivate and enter without needing extensive hearing. How can it be said that the contemplation of the mind on phenomenal teachings merely instructs beginners to cultivate in the Zhiguan?
