上人本立十種三法。已是約行觀故，不須附法觀心。今以諸義驗之，全非約行之觀。能破觀心之宗既敗，所破之義何傷？應知十科觀心是大師親說，是妙行所憑也。

Originally, your reverence established the ten kinds of threefold dharmas as already being contemplations based on practice, and therefore there was no need to append to teachings to contemplate the mind. Now, testing it against various principles, they are entirely not contemplations based on practice. Since your thesis capable of refuting the contemplation of the mind has already failed, how could the doctrine being refuted be harmed? One must know that the ten sections of contemplating the mind were personally spoken by the Great Master and are what wondrous practice relies upon.
