且道場所得真實絕妙之理，蓋根器未純，故不獲已而兼但對帶說之。洎乎二乘心漸通泰，菩薩疑網可除，則捨諸方便，但談一實圓妙之理矣。

Furthermore, because the capacities [of beings] were not yet matured for the true and supremely wondrous principle obtained at the place of awakening, [the Buddha] had no choice but to teach it while combining, solely, confronting, and bringing along [the expedient teachings]. When the minds of the two vehicles gradually became clear and unimpeded, and the bodhisattvas' net of doubt could be removed, he cast aside all expedients and spoke only the single real, perfect, and wondrous principle.
