予聞此救，喜躍不勝。蓋予義論有益，能轉人心改迷從悟也。何以故？以上人洎所稟，元不知觀妄心成真心，及全迷一念是妄當體即真，以致《示珠指》直以真知釋於一念。

When I heard this defense, I was overjoyed beyond measure. For my doctrinal debates have been beneficial, able to turn people's minds and lead them from delusion to awakening. Why is this? Because you and those from whom you received your lineage originally did not know about contemplating the deluded mind to bring about the true mind, and were entirely deluded about a single thought-moment being delusion whose intrinsic essence is identical to the true, to the extent that the *Shizhu zhi* interpreted a single thought-moment directly as true knowing.
