六年癸丑　是年二月十五日，創建念佛施戒會。師於祥符五年十月親製疏文，至今誘化。此會抵今凡一百九十載不廢，往古來今其被化者不知幾何人哉。

Sixth year, guichou: On the fifteenth day of the second month of this year, the Society for Reciting the Buddha's Name and Bestowing Precepts was established for the first time. The Master personally composed an exhortation text in the tenth month of the fifth year of Xiangfu, which has guided and transformed people up to the present day. This assembly has continued uninterrupted for a total of one hundred and ninety years down to the present; how many persons have received its transformative influence from past to present cannot be known!
