上來奉為諸人行懺悔法，身器清涼堪受淨戒。當受此戒，準經所說，若有七遮，即不得受。良由七種逆罪能障淨戒，並名為遮。我今一一垂問，汝等有即言有、無即言無，當如實答。

Above, the repentance ritual has been performed for you, and the vessel of the body is cool and purified, fit to receive the pure precepts. In receiving these precepts, according to what the sūtras explain, if there are seven hindrances, one may not receive them. This is truly because the seven cardinal sins can obstruct the pure precepts, and so are all termed 'hindrances'. I shall now question you one by one: if you have committed them, say you have; if not, say you have not. You must answer truthfully:
