云何是法性？自體金光明？
為當從義立？為當質亦成？
法性本非質，金色由何生？
若從義所立，還是假名字。
全金為法界，塵塵悉平等，
懺悔何所滅？讚歎何所榮？
罪福既無二，空導是虛聲，
空藏空全現，地藏地難傾。
云何此同異，願決我疑情。
蓮華與稻稗，當體若何評？
例同一切法，師子弦願鳴。

What is the dharmatā? / Is its self-substance golden light? / Should it be established based on its meaning, / or is it also formed as physical matter? / Dharmatā is fundamentally not physical matter; / from what does the golden color arise? / If established from its meaning, / it is still merely a provisional designation. / The whole gold is the dharmadhātu; / every single particle of dust is completely equal. / What does repentance eliminate? / What does praise glorify? / Since transgression and blessing are not two, / leading by emptiness is an empty sound. / The empty treasury fully manifests emptiness; / the earth treasury is hard to overturn. / How are these the same and different? / I pray you will resolve my doubts. / The lotus flower and rice weeds— / how are they judged in terms of intrinsic substance? / By analogy with all dharmas, / may the lion's strings resound!
