六問：〈壽量品〉疏云：《華嚴》寂滅道場，《大經》超前九劫，皆成方便。疑者云：《大經》唯有雪山童子超十二劫，此中何云超九劫耶？

Question 6: The commentary on the chapter 'The Span of the Tathāgata's Life' says: The bodhimaṇḍa of calm extinction in the Avataṃsaka Sūtra and the leaping over the preceding nine kalpas in the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra are all expedients. Doubters say: In the Mahāparinirvāṇa Sūtra, there is only the Youth of the Snowy Mountains leaping over twelve kalpas; why does it say here leaping over nine kalpas?
