十三問：〈普門品〉疏云：自有多苦苦一人、多人受一苦、一人受多苦、一人受少苦。疑者云：第三句可云多人受多苦。若不爾者，自與第一句同，何句法空設也？

Thirteenth question: The Commentary on the 'Chapter on the Universal Gate' states: 'There are naturally many sufferings afflicting one person, many persons suffering one suffering, one person suffering many sufferings, and one person suffering few sufferings.' A doubter says: 'The third phrase should say "many persons suffering many sufferings." If not, it is identical with the first phrase, so why establish an empty phrase?'
