To Chongju: On the fifth day of the sixth month, I first saw the practitioner Lingyao, who brought your letter of the second month. Learning that the officials personally invited you, the renowned monks yielded residence to you, clergy and laity turn their hearts to you, and supporting provisions are abundant, this is what your vow-power has brought about, and it also shows our Way is about to prevail. It further lies in diligence to make matters expand; as long as your mind has no attachment, you will certainly succeed in transmitting the Dharma. You must even more firmly establish an abbacy of the ten directions, making it permanently a cloister for transmitting the Tiantai doctrinal teaching and contemplation. Since there is already an imperial decree initiated by Secretariat Drafter Xia's petition, the prefectural administration has carried it out according to the decree very smoothly. When the matter is completed, conclude the documents and engrave them into stone to serve permanently as the regulation; only then will it be definitive. I hear it said that Wenbing is residing there; you must take good care to illuminate and support him. He is indeed a learner, and will certainly become a capable vessel. Apart from this, it is crucial to adjust your body to be peaceful and comfortable, and naturally the Way will flourish. There is nothing else to enjoin. Incomplete.
