章安崇矩，近日如何。夏中不廢講否？自行化他日增益否？知吾道者無幾，望汝傳化令道光大，莫作最後斷佛種人也。吾懺期將滿，寄世非遙。此去一年，欲息諸緣務，併心究理一志焚修，故遣諸生遍求資給。居永、用卿到彼，望汝勸揚，須一一言與門徒，令人人樂施，吾即此一迴斷送西歸。願汝精進教觀，勤發行者莊嚴淨土，願來世得際夙因妙證。斯事常切在於制心也。然汝自知吾志，不復再三。二子去，聊書此布意，更不委悉。不具。

To Chongju of Zhang'an: How have you been recently? During the summer, have you not neglected lecturing? Are your personal practice and transformation of others increasing day by day? Few know our Way; I hope you will transmit and transform so as to make the Way glorious and great, and not become the last person to sever the Buddha-seed. My repentance period is about to be completed, and my stay in the world will not be long. One year from now, I wish to cease all conditions and affairs, concentrate my mind to investigate the principle, and dedicate my intent to self-immolation and cultivation; therefore I send the disciples to seek provisions everywhere. When Juyong and Yongqing arrive there, I hope you will encourage and promote them, and you must speak to your disciples one by one so that everyone will give joyfully; I will then take this final occasion to see myself off to the West. May you be diligent in doctrinal teaching and contemplation, diligently inspire practitioners to adorn the Pure Land, and may we attain the wonderful realization of past causes in future lives. This matter always crucially lies in restraining the mind. However, you yourself know my intention, so I will not repeat it again and again. The two disciples are leaving, so I briefly write this to convey my thought, without going into details. Incomplete.
