5.119

（知禮）奉白菴長高人。偶違顏色，俄改星霜，徒增言念之勞，且曠緘題之禮。切聆動止，克遂康寧。將屆安居，更希遵理。《指要》印後，曾已附呈，雖筆削之甚凡，且銓量之有據。願於閑暇，略與披尋。今少敏歸寧，謹憑此問訊。不宣。比丘（知禮）奉白大雷菴長（侍者）。

Zhili respectfully speaks to the Hermitage Head, a person of lofty virtue. Having chanced to part from your presence, years and seasons have suddenly changed, merely increasing the toil of remembrance, and I have neglected the etiquette of sending letters. Closely listening to news of your daily activities, I trust you enjoy health and peace. As the summer retreat is about to arrive, I hope all the more that you accord with the principle. After the Zhiyao [chao] was printed, I once enclosed and presented it; although the writing is very ordinary, its determinations are based on authoritative texts. I hope that in your leisure, you might briefly browse through it. Now that Shaomin is returning home to pay respects, I respectfully rely on this to inquire after you. Not fully expressed.
