Nephew Chi, Mountain Master: Yesterday you came to visit, but I was sorely lacking in receiving you properly. From summer into autumn, I trust your body has been at peace and the Way has grown. I now know that building and plastering the monastery halls is not easy to direct. At this juncture, the begging monks also require shelter and support; I hope you will treat them kindly and receive them, and also exhort and propagate on their behalf. Year after year, troubling the fourfold assembly greatly increases my trepidation. Since we are Dharma-kin, there is no need to avoid suspicion. In your daily life you should take good care of yourself; in the future there will be great good deeds. No more to state. Dharma-relative (sign-manual). Delivered to the Mountain Master of Yong'an. (Yong'an was the former category of Fuyan Chan Cloister in Cixi.)
