（億）啟：遠寄示長書為答，重復窺翫，但欽淵奧。俗學膚淺，何以奉酬？輒緣來意，虔致三問，具于別帋，請賜見答。儻契卑心，別具咨報。然希取證於泥曰，亦冀專修於末供也。（億）白。

[Yang] Yi states: You have sent a long letter from afar in reply; perusing and savoring it repeatedly, I can only revere its profound obscurity. My secular learning being shallow and superficial, how can I offer a commensurate reply? Prompted by your purpose in writing, I reverently present three questions, detailed on a separate sheet, and request your answers. Should they accord with my humble mind, I shall submit a further consultation and report. Yet I hope to attain verification in nirvāṇa and also wish to devote myself to practice in this final offering. [Yang] Yi speaks.
