（億）啟：近者起於苫廬，荐膺綸撿，復塵內署，仍冠邇班，屬創鉅之痛餘，固杌枯之才盡。猥承甄錄，罔克避辭，徒僶勉以從公，益支離而取誚。教主大師，逈敦道眷，遐枉賀牋。仰窺勤渥之私，但切感慚之抱。謹修狀陳謝。

[Yang] Yi states: Recently, rising from my thatched mourning hut, I repeatedly received imperial decrees, again soiling the inner bureau and heading the close ranks. Still in the aftermath of deep grief, my dried-wood talents are truly exhausted. Having undeservedly received selection, I was unable to decline; merely striving to follow official duties, I have become increasingly worn and incur reproaches. Great Master and Teacher of the Teaching, you distantly maintain spiritual kinship, condescending to send a congratulatory letter from afar. Looking up to observe your diligent and abundant partiality, I feel only deep gratitude and shame. I respectfully prepare this letter to express my thanks.
