For half a lifetime living in the river city, the confused masses have long resolved their doubts through you.
Your profound practice equals eons of forging; your vow reaches the extreme of relinquishing the body.
From the rhinoceros-horn fan, breezes arise far away; before the lion platform, eyes linger reluctantly.
From the turtle palace, letters were repeatedly dispatched, urging you to remain as a master within the teachings.
(The present Hanlin Head and Vice-Minister of Hongnong, hearing that the master had made a vow to cast aside his body, dispatched letters requesting him to remain in the world; hence this line.)
