寺枕滄溟上，門長掩寂寥，
定迴華漏斷，講徹獸烟銷。
入檻泉聲細，當軒嶽色遙，
何時會重席，南望路迢迢。（庚申歲秋季月望日書）

The monastery pillows upon the vast ocean; / its gates are perpetually shut in quiet loneliness. / Emerging from samādhi, the flower-marked water-clock has run out; / the lecture complete, the beast-shaped incense smoke is spent. / Entering through the railing, the sound of the spring is delicate; / facing the verandah, the mountain hues are far away. / When shall we meet again upon the mats? / Gazing south, the road is endlessly far. (Written on the full moon day of the last month of autumn in the gengshen year.)
