The Baoyun Teaching Cloister is two li southwest of the county seat; formerly it was called Chuanjiao Cloister. It was founded in the first year of the Kaibao reign period of the present dynasty, and in the seventh year of the Taiping Xingguo reign period it was granted its present plaque. Originally, the Transport Commissioner Gu Chenghui donated his residence to make it a place for Dharma Master Yitong to transmit the teachings; requesting the plaque 'Baoyun' (Treasure Cloud) manifested its auspiciousness. Yitong, courtesy name Weiyuan, originally belonged to the royal clan of Goryeo. Coming from Samhan, his fame shook China. Zhili and Zunshi were the most prominent among his disciples. After more than two cycles of twelve years, he passed away lying on his right side. After the cremation, his disciples collected his bones and entombed them on the south side of Mount Yuwang, piling stones to make a stupa. There is a record composed by Academician-in-Waiting Lord Wang Boxiang, which was later carved together onto stone.
