靈山之會，龍象雲蒸，羊鹿牛車，同歸一乘。雨勝法雨，
普潤有情，逮及後世，止觀爰興。慈鋒慧劒，
摧墮疑城，誰其嗣之，粵有四明。講席雄峙，
淵默雷聲，天台正統，於焉繼承。章聖在御，
使馹馳星，問佛大旨，得其精英。宸恩載錫，
法智鴻名，是為釋子，萬古光榮。

At the assembly on Gṛdhrakūṭa, / dragons and elephants gathered like rising clouds; / goat, deer, and ox carts / together returned to the One Vehicle. / Raining the supreme Dharma rain, / it universally moistened sentient beings; / reaching down to later generations, / cessation and contemplation thereupon arose. / The tip of compassion and the sword of wisdom / shattered and brought down the citadel of doubt; / who was to succeed to it? / There arose Siming. / His lecture seat stood towering and heroic, / silent like an abyss, yet sounding like thunder; / the orthodox lineage of Tiantai / was thereupon inherited. / When Emperor Zhangsheng was on the throne, / courier stations galloped like shooting stars; / inquiring about the great purport of the Buddha, / he obtained its finest essence. / Imperial favour was repeatedly bestowed, / with the grand title of Fazhi; / this was, for a son of the Śākya, / glory for ten thousand ages.
