甞勗其徒曰：吾之或出或處、或默或語，未始不以教觀權實之旨，為服味焉，為杖几焉。汝無怠也。
He once exhorted his disciples, saying: "Whether I go out or dwell [at home], keep silent or speak, never have I not taken the import of provisional and ultimate in the doctrinal teachings and contemplation as my clothing and nourishment, as my staff and armrest. Do not be indolent!"
