道以功振，化以行施，識貽所導，
解貽所規。信者興仰，學者興隨，
遠則聽範，邇則觀儀。影響相契，
聞見交馳，德兮斯茂，教兮斯滋。
示順世兮，存乎所表，流繼裔兮，
存乎所師。

The Way is aroused through achievement; / Transformation is applied through practice. / His insight left behind guidance; / His understanding left behind standards. / Believers arose in reverence; / Students arose to follow. / From afar they listened to his models; / Up close they observed his deportment. / Echoes and shadows tallied with one another; / What was heard and seen hastened together. / His virtue was so lush! / His teaching was so abundant! / Manifesting accordance with the world / Resided in what he expressed; / Transmitting to successive descendants / Resided in whom they took as Master.
